Romain Rolland Gymnasium

The Romain-Rolland-Gymnasium is a high school situated in the north of Germany’s capital: Berlin. We have about 100 teachers and 1100 pupils, Children can start learning the language at our school starting grade 5. Most of them however join Romain-Rolland-Gymnasium in grade 7. These pupils
can choose between different classes, learning English or French as their first foreign language (also intensively in our French bilingual branch). They can enter the special science section as well. The school is also an active member in a nationwide network of excellence for schools with a STEM focus and received numerous awards in this field. The final exam could be the German Abitur as well as the AbiBac. Our motivation to join the program is at first the contact to very different schools, the exchange about teaching methods and usage of ICT. The second point is that the project supports ICT-competences for students and teachers. Third we are curious about the different methods of food conservation. The key people in charge of running the project will be a team of english and science teachers who are experienced in Erasmusplus projects.
